i would use a file to bring that bevel down and the rest flush, if your worried about damaging the planking you have laid there then take a strip of copper or something thin. (i ordered some rather thin 1/4 wide 12" long copper from www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk along with other stuff, a great site for extra timbers, tools and other stuff like glues paints, sanding fillers/primers and so on) then you can use that as a gaurd.

but does need alot more sanding to make that back face flush with the false keel from top to bottom.

I think i sorted the rear of the ship out and i started the planking. Im not sure though if it looks right as on side goes in and the other side goes out. I wiuld like advice on weather i should leave it like this or strip it down and start again. Im also not sure if the planking on the rear looks right.
Any advice and help would be greatley appreciated.
