although i am sure tomick is correct can admin confirm that the bottom will be skinned in veneer we already have one builder stripping his work so confirmation would be nice

that the stand done,a lick of paint makes all the difference.

having stripped the old girl,I then checked the profile for undulations along the side of the hull,found 3 ribs that need packing,I used .05mm red card so that you can see it.

here if you look along the strake you can see there's a nice curve,and no waves or indentations.

I'm now using 5 x 2mm. x 100cm. beech.so that it's not too dark when sealed.

4th. layer now complete,I don't normaly use pins,but to get a more accurate finish I used the brass pins supplied,to stick the strakes I used thick superglue,curing time about 10 min.give you time to pin whilst clamping planks together.

As per Admin's previous advice, the lower part of the hull is basswood single planked, which if building the natural version will be stained, and if building the painted version there will be an option to copper paint or copper sheath.
