Hi
I've just completed my first canon and anchor. So, I thought it's the right time to join this fleet. It's my first model, so please be patient if I ask funny question.
But sofar you look like a bunch of good seaman. (Or is it a school of seaman?)

Hi and welcome'
I have'nt built my first cannon or anchor yet still deciding if i should wait till i have all the anchors/connon so i can do them all at once like a production line, also the time between getting the first and last may be quite long so paint ect could change over that time fade,or go hard ect not sure if i am doing the right thing yet but will decide latter it's a pity there isn't some document listing all the issues and what comes with each sure would help in planning the build
anyway enjoy
Regards
Trev
If my ship is going down...i'm bloody well getting off

I also thought of waiting a little bit but..........it was to tempting. I think the rest will have to wait. I really enjoyed the anchor, although the twine was way to short for all 4 bindings.

Ahoy there and welcome aboard Sydney, I waited until I had amassed a number of issues before I began my build i.e all three false keel sections and ribs, then started with the anchor, but like some of our shipmates on here, I too have not started on any of my cannon yet. If you have any problems, you will find a wealth of helpful advice to be had in these hallowed halls....Good luck and hope you enjoy your build mate...

Howzit Sydney

I wanted to wait til I had a few issues before building but then I thought "sod it, I cant wait" and have had such fun doing the build so far. I have patients for many things but when i have bits of loose model parts it irritates me and so I start and watch it slowly come together - and boy it is coming together slowly LOL
Current build : The Victory
Pending builds : none - yet
Built loads of bikes trucks planes and boats - all plastic kits.
on wish list - a 1:24 spitfire, in wood, plastic, just as long as I can build it :)

Hi Sydney,

I also found the supplied thread to be too short, so I bought more. Go to the supplier's website, www.jeffreystein.co.za, click on "dealers" and find your nearest supplier (probably in Nelspruit). The particular product code is 8805 and the manufacturer is Artesania. Hope it helps.

Thanks. You're correct...nearest is Nelspruit. I want to go there next week to get some paints. I decide to paint my ship.

don't be too hasty shipmates,I'm sure the cord will be supplied with each anchor, and I think you'll find that the cord is not really thick enough, scale wise it is probhibly 2mm,or even 2.5mm. thick.

Hi
Yes, only received 2 issues. But I think they work it out 4,4, and I already have 1 and 2. Otherwise it would be one helluva job to remember that this guy must get 3456, that one 2345 and so on.
