So here is my Thunderbird 2 build diary.I am getting it from Hobby link Japan so it will be a stop and start build since I am getting 10 issues delivered at once. So here are the parts so far.I was in 2 minds about this partwork. It seemed a bit toylike to me and so far it is very easy to build. The parts actually look pretty good though with really nice detail. And after all it is Thunderbird 2 .Who doesnt love Thunderbirds? I have some studio scale kits of the rescue vehicles so I may do a tandem build as I go along. Carl darbyvet attached the following image(s):

More work on the Thunderbird 2. issue 8 9 and 10 now done. There will be a delay before any further updates as I wont get another delivery of parts for a couple of months. In issue 8 there is a tutorial on weathering the vehicles using Tamiya weather powders.A nice touch and once they are weathered they will look even better.A feature of the Thunderbirds vehicles was that they were always heavily weathered. So in these issues we attach the cockpit to the main body, build a second recovery vehicle and add some details to the body. Until the next issues arrive FAB everyone. PS I did get goosebumps looking at the size of this model and they have captured TB2s shape perfectly .I did fly it around my living room with the theme music playing. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

Looks great.
Could you post a pic showing the big parts of TB2 together, alongside a can of paint/coke/beer - anything to give us sense of the size of this beastie?
Looking forward to updates.
Roy.

are your missiles or those magnet things on the recovery vehicle lose? because when i point the vehicle down they slide out. i fixed that by putting some black tape on those things to have a better fit

The piece of hull the slides away to reveal the missiles is a bit loose.I may glue it closed.I did glue the magnet things on the recovery vehicles
Roy I will take some reference pics so you can see how big it is

I would wait to glue that. Both halves arnt screwed together so Normally the missiles will hold that panel in place. Atleast thats what mine is doing when I hold it. The pressure of the spring pushes the panel up
