Hi everyone =)

Ok, so my first delivery arrived at the post office. I'm excited, finally something new after I started my subscription. I open up the bag, all things are good and have no damage. Then I see.....

I asked them to start from issue 3 onwards on the subscription.
The bag contains issues 4 and 5. 1,2,4,5. Nice..

Does anyone know how I can have this resolved? Where do I make a post or to who do I send an email to get my issue 3 aswell?

Please help me =)

Contact Customer Services, the number should be noted on the inside of the front cover.

I'll give them a call on Monday then. I did email enquiries@deagostini.com or something that was on the support forum.

I really hope this is a once off mistake and that the whole build isn't set up with annoyances like this

Hi Shipmates!

Just to let you know that this is only the start of the subscription joke!Laugh
In the UK we have had the same problems from the start, you will have to contact Customer Services, don't let them off the hook. There is no excuse for this to happen again!, they love to blame the computers and won't take the blame themselves, just remember a computer is only as good as the program it's running and the data is only as good as the person who entered it!.

As for the binder issue they did run out of stock in the UK so it might be the same their, they keep running out of the free gifts as they aren't sure how many will be needed!.

I'm glad you can at last get your teeth into the build. Best Advice I can give if you start to build the hull is to make a jig to hold the keel straight, you will need it as you don't want it to bend.

Multi Jig Link:-

Or a simple plank with brackets will do.

Hi
I think what you received is correct....no Binder. Your first delivery is one of your books for free, second
delivery a binder and so on.
Help, admin, am I corrsect?
Previous builts: Planes, cars and Cutty Sark, all plastic
Current : HMS Victory - of course!
Wish List : To finish the Victory.........

Sorry according to the letter i received from them after subscribing and i quote,"you'll get a free magazine binder with your second delivery""a free magnifiying glass with your third delivery" and "toolkit with 4th delivery"
I have received my second delivery and no binder,as for running out of stock they are advertising to sell you one at R24.95 whenever needed,so i think i will be emailing them soon about my missing binder.
Ps
Maybe pirate struck in the postal service

I received my second batch last week without the binder I queried with CS who told me they were out of stock (seems to be a standard answer). It would be send in a future delivery. My third delivery was in the post I assume without any freebies.

I pointed out that the web page, adverting this project, that the first delivery should have included the magnifying glass the second the binder and the third the tool kit. CS promised to take this up with management. We will have to wait and see what happens

Hi All

Just some feedback on my problem. If you recall on my second posting I received 4,5,6 and 7, not 3,4,5 and 6. I contacted C.S. and they told me that issue 3 was out of stock and they would send it when they had stock. This is not a problem for me as I am waiting until I have all the keel parts before starting. I do not want to run the risk of getting the keel out of line by assembling the hull in separate parts.

Hi Rayb

You wont get the keel out of alignment as Tomick clearly states in his build that you do not glue any of the frames at this time, it does say this in the mag 2. I have already got the full hull extension and it is standing in a jig to keep it all nicely straight, the 3 hull parts are glued together while the frames are all still loose. I have also got about half way through the launch build and so far all is fine and dandy considering I am a complete appie at this wooded model thing BigGrin

Current build : The Victory
Pending builds : none - yet
Built loads of bikes trucks planes and boats - all plastic kits.
on wish list - a 1:24 spitfire, in wood, plastic, just as long as I can build it :)

Hi Wilberforce

Many thanks for the heads up. I must confess that I made my mind up before subscribing that I would not do anything until I had all the hull parts and as such have not read any instructions etc.
I do know from previous builds that the hull has to be 100% or many problems will rear their ugly heads later.

Hi
And so the ships are waiting.....................
I have read the instruction so many times, I know it almost by heart.
Can't wait for the BIG built to start. The one completed ancher looks so lonely on the work-bench.
