Care of the parts
It is important to handle and store your parts carefully, whether they are to be used in the assembly stage they come with or during later stages. Some parts are very fragile, and must be protected against any scratches and bumps that might damage the paintwork or even the parts themselves.
Spare parts
Some extra screws and other parts may be provided as spares. Store them safely in labelled plastic bags, so that you can identify them easily should you
need them.
Handling the parts
Remember that the parts are very fragile and must be protected against scratches and bumps that might damage the paintwork or the parts themselves.
Retrieve the rear Chassis from stage 17 and locate the four holes at the front. Now align the rear main chassis with the front of the rear chassis so that the posts on the rear main chassis match the holes in the rear chassis. Once aligned, lower the posts on both sides into the holes in the rear chassis and push into place.
Turn the assembly over and locate the aligned holes of the two chassis parts, then half-tighten two 2.3 x 4mm screws into the two holes on the right-hand side of the chassis. Half-tighten another two 2.3 x 4mm screws into the holes on the other side of the chassis. Now fully tighten all four screws securing the rear chassis to the rear main chassis.
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.

Some extra screws and other parts may be provided as spares. Store them safely in labelled plastic bags, so that you can identify them easily should you need them.
Retrieve the rear chassis from stage 21 and lay it upside down on your work surface. The rear floorplan supplied in this issue will fit into the gap in the rear chassis assembly, align the rear flooroan and then fit into place.
Half tighten a 2.3x4mm screw into each of the nine holes around the rear floorpan, once all nine are in place tighten them fully securely fitting the rear floorpan to the rear chassis
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.

It is important to handle and store your parts carefully, whether they are to be used in the assembly stage they come with or during later stages. Some parts are very fragile, and must be protected against any scratches and bumps that might damage the paintwork or even the parts themselves.

Some extra screws and other parts may be provided as spares. Store them safely in labelled plastic bags, so that you can identify them easily should you need them.
You will need to start by retrieving the following parts from Stage 22 - the rear chassis assembly, the unsed 2.3x4mm screws and from Stage 6 the exhaust assembly.
Align the exhaust assembly with the rear chassis assembly so tha the tail pipes are either side of the fuel tanks. The exhaust posts should then align with the corresponding holes in the rear chassis. Once you are happy everything is aligned correctly push the posts of the exhaust assembly into the holes of the rear chassis.
While supporting the exhaust assembly turn the chassis assembly over so that you can secure the exhaust assembly to the chassis with the 2.3x4mm screws from Stage 22.
Take the differential case and tighten a 2.3x3mm screw that was supplied with Stage 23 into each of the holes. Now fit the posts housing the two screws into the notches in the differential housing at the centre of the rear axle

It is important to handle and store your parts carefully, whether they are to be used in the assembly stage they come with or during later stages. Some parts are very fragile, and must be protected against any scratches and bumps that might damage the paintwork or even the parts themselves.

Some extra screws and other parts may be provided as spares. Store them safely in labelled plastic bags, so that you can identify them easily should you need them.
Start by retrieving the rear axle (lower half) and the differential cover from Stage 23.
Fit the posts on the rear of the differential cover into the notches in the differential housing in the centre of the rear axle (lower half), as you did in Stage 23, making sure the T-shaped opening at the front of the cover is positioned at the top. Now take the upper half of the rear axle and lower it onto the lower half and the differential cover. Tighten a 2.3x4mm screw into each of the four holes on the upper half of the axle securing it all together.
Place the two springs onto the posts on the upper half of the rear axle. Align the tops of the posts with the springs on with the corresponding holes in the chassis the insert the posts into the holes.
Holding the axle in place, turn the chassis over and tighten two 2.3x4mm screws into the holes where the posts are securing the axle assembly to the chassis.
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.

Some extra screws and other parts may be provided as spares. Store them safely in labelled plastic bags, so that you can identify them easily should you need them.
Place the front hinge at the front of the leaf spring, the hole near the centre of the spring is closer to the front end than the rear. Align the holes in the front hinge with the hole through the front end of the spring. Now insert a pin through the hole in the hinge and into the hole at the end of the leaf spring. Using pliers squeeze the pin fully in place to secure the hinge to the leaf spring.
Fit the rear hinge at the other end of the leaf spring, again aligning the holes of both parts. Insert the other pin through the hinge and into the hole in the spring, pushing it through as far as you can. Using pliers again squeeze he pin fully into place.
Position the chassis upside-down and place the leaf spring over the rear axle inserting the post of the rear hinge into the corresponding hole in the chassis, push the hinge down into the rectangular recess. Holding the leaf spring in place, half tighten a 2.3x4mm screw into the hole underneath the rear hinge.
Fit the front hinge into the rectangular recess below the front of the leaf spring. Hold the spring and hinge in place and half-tighten another 2.3x4mm screw into the hole.
Take the supporting plate and place it on the projections from the rear axle and fix it in place using two 1.8x4mm screws.
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.
