Hi All, Just wondering if I am the only one who as a white strip the slides right out of the heatsink? Is it supposed to be like that and has anyone come up with a way of keeping it in without being affected by the temperature? I assume its going to be fine once the build is complete as I would assume the head moves too slow for it to fall out. But everytime I work on it at the moment it slides out. I try to keep it in place as I may forget to put it back otherwise. Thanks, Shane Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/

The fan draught blocking strip is intended to be a removable fit and should stay in place once the fan is fitted and with movement of the head.
If you are using low-melting point PLA, it can benefit from being cooled, so the fan draught blocking strip can be left off. When using ABS, you can reduce the likelihood of shrinking and warping by using the fan draught blocking strip.

Thanks for the info Tom I will bare that in mind. I have be given a reel of normal PLA and also have ordered a reel of the flexible PLA. I am going to play with ABS when I am feeling a bit more adventurous. Not long now! Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/
