To build a Williams Bros. engine kit is a journey into self-punishment. And you must enjoy it to finish!😇
That said this is a very small scale model,1/6, or 1-1/2" to 1' which really helps the build. The kit is suggested for experienced modelers and one look at the 200 plus parts which almost nearly fit, BUT NOT QUITE, and molded nuts and poorly cast small parts which are almost all there BUT NOT QUITE gives you and idea. However, ☝🏼it is the best game in town and was a lot of fun to do. Patience and whiskey helped. I built this three years ago. many references are available, just google it. I did a LOT of detail work most important was a complete wiring harness, the inter cylinder lube hoses, and safety wiring. The display stand is scratch.

Not really that large,on the stand it is about 6"x6". Nice display piece and different. I've also done their Wright J-5 radial and have the Le Rhone on the shelf. Doing the cylinders is a real 'xczet!!.

Another of the Wasp engines was the Wasp 14 cylinder radial engine used in the DC-3 which looks very similar

Fabulous work Tom, very neatly done. I will have to keep my eyes open for one of these, even though they aren't the easiest of builds as you say?

Thanks Kev. You should easily find the Williams Bros kits on e-bay. They simply require a lot of fitting work and perhaps some recast resin replacement parts. There are excellent pictures of it in the web as well as good ideas for a stand. Give it a shot!

Thanks for that Tom, I've had a look on ebay, a few Williams Bros aircraft kits on the UK site but no engines. The few that are available, are listed on the US site with hefty price tags and even bigger postage charges to the UK, but not to worry, I've put them on a 'followed search' and will wait for one to come up at the right price on this side of the pond?
"Everything comes to he who waits" as they say - I'll get one eeventually!!
