Hi Guys... and Gals, I was doing a little forward planning last night on the Victory and was wondering what people on here are using to stick the second layer of Hull Planking down with(wood glue, super glue, contact adhesive, etc, etc)

All of your thought on this will be greatly appreciated.BigGrin

If its thin veneer planking, it might be wise to use contact adhesive, simply because thin veneer readily soaks up PVA, and where the water content of PVA can lead to veneer warp as the glue dries out.

Thanks tomick for the reply, yes it is the thin veneer planking, any specific type of contact adhesive that you would recommend?

The less stringy the better, 'Alpha Thixofix'(used to be called Dunlop Thixofix), which has a gel like viscosity, thus less stringy and better suited to cleaner working, though some prefer good old Evo-stik.
