Think I'd have to go for this if it comes over here. If for no other reason than to lose myself in my childhood again.... wonderful series and looks like a fab kit with all those accessories.... Regards Alan

I have never watched this show and don't know a single thing about it, is it something worth looking into these days, or more like childhood nostalgia thing? Asking about the show not the partwork (for now). Happy building :-) http://www.model-space.com/gb/

I watch them with the boys and they love it. The new version is CGI and its..............not very good!!!! lol. I think I have all the Supermarionation sets, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, ah the memories!

Ok, now I know what I will watch on the train back home this evening :-) Anyway, I haven't seen it because it has never been shown in Poland. I moved to UK just over five years ago. I catched up on some stuff (Doctor Who would be the most notable), learned the difference between chips and crisps, figured out that the only way to have both is with salt and vinegar, but I haven't seen the Thunderbirds yet. youtube has a few original thunderbirds episodes posted.
The original episodes were 30 minutes long, but they were re-edited to 60 minutes for the USA market.Gerry Anderson (the creator of Thunderbirds) was hoping the show would catch on in the massive USA TV market, but it never did.Thats why the Traceys were all named after the Mercury seven astronauts and had american accents.
Anderson created a machine that worked the puppets mouths to move in synch with the dialogue. The model making and special effects were groundbreaking.
Anderson got the idea after watching a rescue of trapped coal miners on TV.
I remember as a young kid watching these shows on TV.

please tell us what you think So... The verdict is: I loved it! Fun, action, a bit cheesy but in a good way. And the models are indeed awesome. Consider me a fan, now I have to get hold of the rest of the episodes :D Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.
