Hi tomick, does the stern at layer 7 have to be EXACTLY level with the deck line as mine is not and can i bring it level with a later layer because it states in the instructions that layer 9 at the stern does not need to be tapered.

The stern plank at layer 7 needs to be tapered by about 1mm along the whole of its length, which is to keep the line of planks parallel to the deck line rather than rising towards the stern.
If your stern plank at layer 7 is rising then you should certainly taper at the next level.
The thing to bear in mind is that no two models will be built the same which is down to lots of variances.
