Well here we are, down to the last ten rows of planks on either side, lots of measuring, cutting and sanding to come, in a strange sort of way i'm quite looking forward to it and to sand the whole thing down to see if it's good enough to stain. John, Ian, Hans and Alan thanks guys for looking in it's much appreciated, finished planking one side of hull, did the first five rows and then recalculated the next five, had to put a sliver in between frames 19-23 after the last row next to the garboard plank to finish off, all in all i dont think it worked out too bad, by rights the other should be easier to do. Nicely done, from what I can see I would say she's going to sand down very nicely and give you a good finish to that hull.... well done...

Well issue 38 is a bit of a mission, and leaning over the dining room table to do it is not great on your back, but hey-ho it's done and i need traction, i took Johns idea of putting masking tape on to quickly identify the ribs and next to each number wrote the measurements for each rib, this saved a lot of backwards and forwards to the magazine, cheers John. Well i finally finished sanding lower hull and it's as smooth as a babys bum, a couple of gaps have appeared here and there, i think is where i over compensated on champfering while laying the planks but overall i'm quite pleased with it, i'm a bit planked out now so i'm going to work on the gunports. Looks great Gibbo, very nice smooth finish. Are you painting the hull, leaving it natural or copper tiling?
