I have a problem shipmates,a lot of us use cornwall model boats,I bought a lathe from them at the end of september,used it for two days,then the drive gog started spinning up,so it would not turn,I then first classed posted it back to them.since then I have e-mailed them 4 times with my order number and details, and a full letter of the fault. ...........nothing,not even an accknowledgement of the goods returned,or of e-mailing them,total silence,and I ordered wood last week and recieved it next day,what is my next course of action??? would be gratful of some advice here,apart from travelling to cornwall.if I phone them I might lose my rag and I know that is not the way. I know this may sound stupid Karl, but try sending them a good old fashioned written letter and register the postage so that you know that they have to sign for its receipt and you can also track the letter on your PC...It seems to me that some companies, no matter how good, tend to ignore some e.mail...Its worth a try mate...keep us posted Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. It's a problem isn't it! first when you send it, did you get proof of post, second did you get the parcel insured. most post is only covered for around £30 you have to tell them at the post office if it costs more, so you get the right service and cover. Cornwall model boat's Returns Policy UK & EU COUNTRIES Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
Customers have the right to cancel goods 7 working days without giving a reason. In the case of goods, the 7 days commence from when the customer receives the goods. Items must be returned unused, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and in re-saleable condition. Delivery and collection charges are non-refundable. PLEASE NOTE: All returns must be authorised by us, and must be returned in suitable packaging, bearing our returns number on the outside. Returns not complying with these terms may be refused. Items such as plans which are printed to order are non returnable, As these are specifically printed on request we cannot accept returns on them. So Karl you should have contacted them first to get your return number. I would phone them to see what has happened to the parcel you sent them. Darron

karl, the longer you leave it the moor upset you are going to get. ring them first thing politly and calmy explane the problem and what you have done in returning the package. if they claim not to have had it you can ask the post office to trace the package. just a quicky when you ring you are best leaving it untill the afternoon as there are only 2 people man and wife team and they are dispatching everything most days during the morning I have dealt with them for a long time and never had any bother at all obviously something as gone wrong somewhere

Hi Karl,
I've had a few problems with them myself recently. Ordered a couple of kits & was told they would both leave on Friday the 22/10. 1 kit arrived on Monday the 25th, phoned and eventually got through & was told the outstanding kit was going to leave Tuesday 26/10. Never recevied it and have never had ant replies to emails either, Eventually got through on phone after it seemed to be continually engaged, they did re-credit card without quibble but gave no reason concerning kit. It was a Jokita/Caldercraft so shouldn't have been supply issues.
Hope you manage to get it sorted soon.
