OK..thought I should play catch up & fit middle deck & beams.I seem to have a problem with frame 14..but only on one side 14a. As you can see in the photos below the deck supports for frame 14a are 2mm higher than all the rest...there is also a 2mm gap between the beam & where it should touch the frame.  Same frame from the back this time.  I can think of 2 solutions to this but would welcome any other fixes & some input from the experienced guys on which solution they think would be best. Solution 1: sand down the 2 deck supports so that they are level with the others & pack between beam & frame. Solution 2:saw through the frame at middle deck level,remove 2mm of material & then re-attach the shortened piece,this would involve having to build up the top of the frame to bring it back into line with the others. What would you guys do...& has anyone else had this problem..or more worryingly for those that have planked already & not noticed they have a problem(sorry guys if I have given any of you a mild case of panic!) hi guys av just checked mine..the most any frame is out is 0.5mm..are you sure you have set your ribs correctly..wilfy if you havnt decked yet then you shouldnt have glued your ribs so have a look and see if the rib is in square and correct...cheers paul cheers benny

hi guys,no I hav'nt noticed this prob on mine,but if I did find it like yours,I would do this,cut the offending rib at the lowest point i.e. lower deck level and with the piece off,make your adjustment to the arm,again i.e.remove 2mm or add,then re-fix using strengtheners either side.hope that helps. Thanks Karl. Benny,all frames set correctly,its just that 1 frame & on one side only..I have had another possible idea for correction & that is to steam the joint apart 14-14a & recut 14a out of some scrap,but that would need to be spot on as far as accuracy is concerned so am sort of swaying to the cut it off,adjust & replace option just like Karl recommended. Hi,
Thanks for your advice guys.
Have found the problem with mine, where the tongue on 14a (&14b) fits into 14 there is a concinserable amount of vertical movement, in excess of 1mm. For some reason I had glued 14a at its highest point and 14b at its lowest. Have now re-fitted & difference is minimal, should have spotted this at time of assembly really as it had also created a step at the bottom.

If you can steam, release and reset 14a it might be the way to go, though you might want to consider carefully cutting away the two offending deck supports and reset them 2mm lower down the leg, the last resort is cutting 14a out and lowering its height.

Wilfy,glad you found an easy solution to your problem,unfortunately for me that is not my case.I have subsequently measured from the base board to top of frames & they are within 0.5mm of each other,checking the deck supports in the same manner there is a definite 2mm difference between 14a & 14b,15a,13a & front bulkhead  Having weighed up all the options whilst lying awake last night(damn noisy new neighbours ) I had thought of one of Tomicks solutions,that is to carefully remove the deck supports & reposition them 2mm lower reinforcing them by drilling through them & the rib & inserting some heavy gauge brass wire straight through the whole lot & gluing it all in place finally cutting wire as close to surface as possible & then filing flush.Will show the results in my build diary. The reinforcing the supports won't be necessary, the frames either side of 14 will support the deck adequately.
