The Moto Guzzi 850V California - version 750 Ambassador- is the motorcycle which in 1968 won the tender for supply to the Los Angeles Police Department, beating giants such as Harley Davidson and BMW.
Moto Guzzi presented the V850 California model to the Cycle and Motorcycle fair in Milan in 1971.
