If you have not already stumbled upon it Thingiverse is a great place to find 3D models that people have made and uploaded for anyone to print.

I asked my girlfriend to pick something to print and she picked this bottle opener.

It does work but my printer stopped extruding close to the end of the print which caused it to not be as thick as it should of been.

It was easy to get going again. I just unhooked the spring and manually fed some filament though.

I am going to reprint it when I get some pink or purple filament.

This was printed using the standard settings outlined in the idbox instructions.

That`s brilliant.

Three things spring to mind.

1:
When the bottle opener goes missing at the party, then just print another one.Easy.

2:
Great choice of ale.

3:
You can print that one piece of jigsaw that`s missing from 3000 that`s taken a month to complete.LOL

Hmm that's a good idea, hide all your good stuff away when hosting a party and print everything instead. :P

I can not remember the last time I was so amazed with something I can literally just watch it printing for hours. It's such a some concept when you look at it too.

My friend tried to scratch build a 3D scanner using his printer to make the housing. It kind of works but there is a lot of configuration involved.
