Hi , Tomick and every one.... I have noticed a difference in the stern build from magazine to on line. I have attached two pictures one shows a three plank gap at the rear ( in magazine ) and the on line build shows only one. Is it important on which one is followed? Regards, Ian IAN attached the following image(s): Ian Builds in progress: E-type, HMS Victory, HMS Endeavour, HMS Soverein of the Seas Wish list: Bentley Blower http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&m=30439

Willie,I think you are mis reading this,if you look at the 2 pics, the online one shows a 1 plank vertical & then a slope above stern gallery, the magazine shows a 3 plank vertical then the slope. I'm afraid I can't help you Ian as I am yet to start the planking but i'm sure someone will be able to help you. Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

Ian, when you apply the stern template, you should find that the step before it goes off at an angle is approx the width of one plank as per my photo, so the advice is to follow the line of the template rather than what you see in planks.
