Delivery 9 The engine was married to the chassis and the inner walls of the fenders were installed. At first I thought the fenders looked unnaturally high, but a quick look at some pictures of actual 2CVs convinced me this is indeed how they look. It's weird how expectations change. The 2CV has so much clearance compared to todays cars, the wheels look like they're not even part of the whole thing at all, but just bumming along for the ride.

It has some really nice features I've not seen anywhere else before like the seats one has to build spring by spring. I've had people identify the car by looking at just the motor alone. "Hey, this looks exactly like the motor of the 2CV I drove 20 years ago." - "Yeah, that's because that's what it is." - "No way!" - "Way!"

A very classic car that looks good in its model form. Really enjoying seeing what you are doing with this one. Happy Modelling

Grayhawk, Love your build of this somewhat quirky (but that's what makes it so cool) car. Just in case you wanted to add a little something to it, here's a nice site; http://www.citroenet.org...elin/2cv/2cv-index.html
This is just one of many pages. Explore from top of page. MrT - we need this over here in the US. Mark

That's a great reference site. Thank you, Mark. Delivery 10 We receive the battery case (not pictured), brackets and cable holders (not pictured), the floor of the passenger room and slide rails for the seats. Everything fit nicely together again, though QA could be more on the lookout for remnants of sprue attachment points. Still no harm done and easily remedied. With this delivery we also receive the last gift. Which is a display case. No really. That's pretty dang awesome. Will be building this one next week.

Greyhawk, One more interesting link and I'll butt out. This is a video in the factory around 1990. Note the sophisticated method of moving the body shell to the next station. I was scratching my head on this one. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/...70ekyF25E#t=223.2547429
Mark If it starts around 3:50 just move the cursor back to the beginning after skipping the ad.

With delivery 10 we also get this nice present, a display case. While a simple slot and slide affair the upgrade effect on the model is enourmous imo. A little bit too much color in the bottom slot corners had to be removed for the panes to fit, but otherwise it went together beautifully. Also shown, some deco elements I plan to incorporate. That's the Tour Eiffel in the background, Notre Dame growing in the front and eventually l'Arc de Triomphe will also be added to the cityscape.
