difference in stern build Options

Hi , Tomick and every one....

I have noticed a difference in the stern build from magazine to on line.

I have attached two pictures one shows a three plank gap at the rear ( in magazine ) and the on line build shows only one.

Is it important on which one is followed?

count the port holes in the two pictures you will see where you are confused there is three more aft

Willie,I think you are mis reading this,if you look at the 2 pics,the online one shows a 1 plank vertical & then a slope above stern gallery,the magazine shows a 3 plank vertical then the slope.
I'm afraid I can't help you Ian as I am yet to start the planking but i'm sure someone will be able to help you.

well mine is about 11/2 planks there i go buy the cut out template at that point

we have spotted a couple of errors with the mag build before..i have already planked the upper half of my build and mine is the same as tomicks...cheers paul

Ian, when you apply the stern template, you should find that the step before it goes off at an angle is approx the width of one plank as per my photo, so the advice is to follow the line of the template rather than what you see in planks.
