Onwards we go with the completion of issue 12. Here we continue to add cross beams and deck supports towards the bow. Good thing I see is some of the cross beams are actually doubled up and this is certainly giving added strength to the overall structure..... Happy building all...

Thanks again guys, always appreciate you looking in....

Managed to move on and complete stage 13 tonight. This was the addition of 4 more crossbeams towards the bow section plus the gluing and pinning of more deck supports. She's now feeling very sturdy with everything lining up beautifully even where the fit between parts is not the best... Happy building all...

Once again thanks to everyone who looked in and especially to those that commented. Today managed to complete stage 14, this entailed adding more reinforcements to the bow section, this part ensured everything is dead on line. Moved on to starting the stern section by preparing the false keel.... Happy building all...

Issue 15 now complete with the addition of 4 of the stern ribs, gluing the stern keel section into place and adding the stern reinforcements. So far everything going well and as yet the Italian instructions aren't causing to many problems....
Happy building all...

Parts 57 & 58 fitted towards the stern, look like servo brackets though I don't think this kit has an RC option?

Very nice work Alan. It's getting bigger all the time.

It does look like servo brackets To me as well.

Thanks for looking in guys, much appreciated. Agreed, parts 57 & 58 do look like servo brackets but I'm building this as a static display model only. These brackets once attached also serve to line up the whole of the stern section perfectly and also add a great deal of regidity to the stern too.

Alan

Could be that it's resemblance only if there is no option to RC in the instructions or maybe was an original thought to the design they did not pursue.

That's very possible. Difficult for me to say for certain at this stage as my Italian is non existent...lol... get the impression though the build gives room for it to be a R/C version simply because the deck section is constructed so it can be removed in one piece for easy access. Since I'm dong the static version only I decided I didn't want it to be removable so am securing in place as I progress.
