This is quite possibly the easiest time I ever had mating the outer body to the rest of the car. Well done, Tamiya.

Nearing the end of this build now One very nice feature is the option to flip up the hood and take a look at the motor. This is a very sturdy mechanism that should support a lot of flipping.

Chapter 20; in which we don't mess up the whole build right before the end by wrecking the windows. This is the part I thank Tamiya the most for: Including masks for the windows. Freehanding the blacks on the windows would have been an exercise in frustration. With the masks? A matter of minutes.

Looks great. Them masks make a massive difference to the way its painted. I think all manufacturers should include them for clear parts. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Kev I would absolutely recommend this kit. Tamiya has put a lot of thought into how to best approach this model and I really have almost nothing to complain about. It would have been nice to split up the engine a bit more for painting purposes. Otherwise it is a dream.

Thanks for that Michael, always good to have some feedback from someone who has built a particular model.
