I have had a problem realizing the construction of lanyards and dead-eyes. At a point I decided to make a jig to help in assembling dead-eyes and lanyards and here, for anybody interested, I have a series of photos showing a simple tool to assist in this assembly. I made the jig, since I found it VERY difficult stringing two dead-eyes together as shown in the construction plans of my HMS Pandora. I hope that the jig is of some use to anybody assembling lanyards + dead-eyes. Eugene Chart - The nautical equivalent of a road map. One must use charts instead of road maps because road maps usually only show roads and there are usually none of those in the water and besides you couldn't drive your boat on one anyway unless you had it on a trailer in which case you would need a road map instead of a chart. Model Shipways have a specific Reeving spacing tool which has adjustable lengths if you don't want to come up with your own method. Tomick attached the following image(s):

Thanks for your feedback and photograph. I don't know what that jig costs, but I can betcha it's not the price of two paper-clips and a piece of scrap merranti, but thank you anyway. Best. Eugene NEVER play leapfrog with Unicorns !!
