Looking at the image above (from Tomicks build) there is plenty of Rib to attach the top two planks too. On my build there is barely enough to add the first plank. I put this down to not tapering enough as I went along. It is too late to do anything about that now, but what I need to know is: are the planks at the bow section supposed to be sanded down to the level of the ribs? (I am painting my Victory so I'm not too worried about the plank line showing) Thanks in advance You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

As you can see in the images there are no ribs at the bow section to build the last planks on to. If I lay a plank along the tops of the 3rd row of gun ports the level of planks looks good. The stern area is fine You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Have you checked the measurement of the interior bulwark height at the bow as per step 1 of page 13, which to the top of the plank needs to be over 14mm.
If it is (with just the single plank in place) then all leave as is, if not you'll need to add a second strip to get the height up to the minimum height of 14mm, though in your case there will not be any frame to secure the strip to other than the plank below.

Hi Tomick I have just checked the top section of Rib 12 (not the very top but the long section) and I am 17mm to the top of the last plank I added. Is this the area you said should be over 14mm? Thanks You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

I didn't ask Tomick - I asked the group as a whole. If you knew the answer then why didn't you reply??? If other people helped other people then Tomick would have more time for other peoples problems. I didn't asked you to be-little me in a post nor do I appreciate your response. If you don't like something that I ask then keep your mouth shut or at least your fingers to yourself. Since your comment I have backtracked through some of your posts and not a lot of help is offered at all from you. I have not responded to any of your posts in the negative so why do you respond to mine in such a manner??? by the way this isn't the first time that you have acted this way to me. If this is the response that I get from asking a question, even if it has been asked before, then you can shove your forum where the sun does not shine. If a question has been asked several times before then where is the FAQ thread? Let the forum that is there to help people who have questions stand only for those that know what they are doing. No wonder people are leaving this forum if that's the amount of respect you get. I have also posted this in the main thread - it will also be the last thing, along with a lot of other amature builders, that do will post. You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
