Over the weekend I went on a special charter for one of the new hovercraft Isle of Wight hovercraft about to come into service.
There was a 20 minute demonstration flight around the solent Q&A with the captain and crew and a chance to sit in the cockpit.
You also got a goodie bag.
I was very impressed with the new craft, it is very futuristic and much nicer to ride than the old ones.
One thing that stood out was how much of the cockpit was digital panels. I talked to the captain about this and he showed me that any of the panels could be switched to show whatever info he wanted from the available screens. It is also fly by wire unlike the older ones.
Here are a few photos.

The pilot inspecting the craft before our trip.

The craft had a little runabout before coming back to let us on.
