Tomick, I have a problem trying to understand a certain part of the instruction in issue 27, page 11 picture 3 which quotes: At the bow, draw lines against the sides of frmaes 12 and 13, then redraw the line nearest frame 15, moving it 2mm forward of the line you first marked. Or do I go by picture 5 on page 12, much obligeed for your input on this mate.. Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

Redraw the original line at frame 15, then draw another line 2mm forward of this line, the port is marked out from the forward line.

Hi Tomick sorry to be a pest mate but this is what's bugging me i.e Forward or aft..if the line was forward of rib 15 (towards bow)as suggested it would place the middle gun deck port immediately above the lower gun port? Aft of rib 15 the gun port would be between rib 15 and 16 but above and astride of the two lower gun ports... Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

HiJonny7england! The magazine wants you to first draw the line 4.5mm from rib 15 like the rest but then make a new line 2mm forward of this line and draw the port from this new line. Better still at rib 15 just draw the line 2.5mm from the rib instead of 4.5mm you gun port will be in the right place no mistakes and at rid 25 make your line 3.5mm from the rib. I hope this will clear thing's up for you mate. Darron
