Hi all I have just tested the landing gear operation but there is a problem I hope you can help me with. I have cut the transmission rods 55mm and 65mm plus the 'hook' at one end. Having fitted these one is not long enough to allow one wheel to lower all the way and also to maintain the 130mm between the fairings. The motor sounds as though it is struggling too, (I've used new batteries just in case they were low)(see images) The transmission rod on the right (as you look at the photo) is only just inside the fitting and would need to be longer in order for the gear to lower fully? Hope you can help. Thanks Alan ALW attached the following image(s):

Hi Alan, I am not at that stage as yet, think you may need a bit of adjustment some where. Regards Trev. Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Hi Trev
Yes I think you are right. I've stripped it back and checking each stage of operation individually.
I have found some play in the strut housing which I think I am going to use some circlips to take up the slack and also a very small amount of sanding down on the landing gear housing-nothing too major so shouldn't give me too much grief.
I've been practising with my new airbrush with some-surprising for me-results.
I prefer the Humbrol aerosol tins though primarily because no cleaning needed!!
Regards.
Alan

Hi Alan Check stage 121 of the official build. A quick look seems to me you have the control rods swapped over. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

It's not a link but an onscreen image, I can see it.
Take another look at Step 6 of Stage 121 in the instructions, you appear to have the Servo control rods routed in the opposite directions to that shown.
Your top rod routes left which should route right. Your botton rod routes right which should route left as per the photo below and delboy's image above..

Thank you gentlemen-issue resolved-simply fitting the transmission rods in the correct orientation. (As you both suggested)
Regards.
