Hi Everyone thanks for looking in and your comments.

I go to the S130 website quite often to see how there doing, still mean to take a trip down there at some point.

I only have the two dimensional plans, the instructions and parts from the Italieri 1/35 schnellboot to work with when adding the details like the rear skullcap ladders so its all done with measuring and bending by eye and using the simple bending tool in the link below.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...53d4:g:nekAAOxylpNTRpUN

I had to remake one of the outer bent ladder struts but that was because I inadvertantly made two right hands instead of a left and a a right. The observers platform cage is made from wire and has some twists and turns to make. The most complicated bending will be done when I have to make the correct 20 mm gun mount for the forward gun bucket position.

Think its time that the hull was painted up before any more detail is added to the decks so here she is with the first undercoat added. More soon.

It will certainly be a schnellboot in having three props and good turns with three rudders, should look amazing on the water!

Hi all

The air cylinders that should be below the rear of the Torpedo tubes were missing so I made another mould and cast a couple. I have yet to add the plumbing and as you can see from the pic's one will be left closed and the other will be showing the tail end of a torpedo in the act of loading.

The lower hull has been masked and the first coat of black sprayed on. The majority of schnellboots had this black anti-fowl color rather than the usual red although some did have red anti-fowl aswell. Also the upper bow section has had a coat of undercoat back to the skullcap. More soon.

Andy

Hi Andy,

Very nice I must say, and your skill's show all the time, as we can see with the moulding of the air cylinders that alone takes some time to perfect. Looking forward to more post's.
