Hi Paul.
Great result on your planking and sanding.
All you need to do now is decide which route you are going down staining or coppering.
look forward to your next update.

Looks great Gibbo, very nice smooth finish. Are you painting the hull, leaving it natural or copper tiling?

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan, i've ordered a cherry stain from CMB, going to do some testing first with that and then give it a high gloss finish and see how we get on with that, if i'm not happy i will probably copper tape it as i did on my DelPrado, i'm looking to keep as much natural wood as possible, never used wood stain before so i dont know what the finish is like.

Paul

The real keel has been fitted along with the gallery decks, the gunports have been lined with mahogany, painted red and then sanded, the wood for the wales are going to be replaced with mahogany on order from CMB

Well done Paul!

A lovely bit of planking there, I would have been proud to put that one together! It should give you a great base to glue all those annoying 'sticky out bits' on to!!
A real credit!

I am thank you Rob, still a long way to go to as Robin says "to glue all those annoying stick out bits onto", looks a bit different to when it first came to me, i'll put up some comparison pics when i've finished the gunport linings.
cheers
