I also just purchased the 12 month subscription, and can't wait to get started. I was wondering if there will be an option to purchase the remaining sets all at once, instead of waiting for the monthly shipments over a 12 month period?

Welcome aboard, great to have you with us.... Hope you'll show us some of your work as you move forward with,.

Hi Carl,

Are you saying that with the 12 month subscription that I have, I won't have all the parts at the end of the 12 months? Don't I get 2 shipments per month for the entire 12 month subscription, completing the model kit?

Sorry I wasnt clear.
Once the 24 monthly installment kit release gets past the 12 month point they can offer a 12 month option. What will happen is that you get 2 issues per month instead of one. After 6 months of that you will have reached the halfway point. The 24 month installment plan will be on issue 18 by then.So both issues will have 6 months left to run.You will receive 2 packs per month and the original 24 month plan will receive 1 issue per month.

That is why they cant offer the 12 month option until the release is halfway through its run.

So the 12 month option wont allow you to finish any earlier than the 24 month option.

The limiting factor on when you finish is when the new issues are released. The 12 month option means you dont have to wait 24 months to get all your parts, but you wont finish any earlier than those who subscribed with the 24 option at the start of the release

You will get the full kit in 12 monthly installments

Does that help?

I think I get it now. My first shipment does include Shipments 1 and 2. I read that some have received shipment 17, which tells me the half way point has passed, and I should get all parts at the end of my 12 month subscription.

Thank you for your help in understanding. I will consider a build diary, but being a 'senior citizen' and not building a model in a number of years, it might be too amateurish to be of any interest to your other builders.

I've started building the Millennium Falcon, and was wondering if there is a list of paint colors that can be used when painting is suggested in the instructions?

Just wondering what Han Solo people like the young Han 1970s - 1980 or the old Han episode VII? I am thinking about modeling one using Maya.

I prefer the young Han Solo.Ford did a great job in bringing him to life. The old Han seemed a bit hammy to me in the movie.A bit comical and sad.

What I did was I called (877)544-6779 (Customer Service) and asked what months were in stock and I purchased all currently available months and started my subscription from there. So what I ended up with was months 1-17 (now on month 19). Month 7 did not ship as it is back ordered and I am still waiting on it.

Thanks Carl, I was thinking the younger Han as this is the version from the Empire Strikes Back and younger Han is from that film
