Hi All, Been a very long time since I last posted, Had the usual things happen in life that saw my models put into storage. Anyhow decided I needed to finish something so I started the cross section awhile back and pulled it out again a couple of weeks ago and now I am determined to finish it. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments, there were a few teething issues. One of my gratings is slightly askew but I think the rest of the build is coming along nicely.I laid the next deck support beams today and found they were short so I had to bring out the masking tape again to bring them together. I decided to do a Day and Night version like Mr T so I could have a go at making everything. I thought that painting the rings and eye bolts on my cannons would be too fiddly for me so I kept them brass. I originally wanted to show my cannons as both run in and out. Unfortunately I overcompensated on breech rope and they just didn't look right when they were run in so I decided to make them all run out, I could have redone them but decided I could show the cannons in the upper deck as run in instead. I use acrylic craft paint from my local hardware store, Used yellow oxide and red oxide in lieu of yellow and red ochre and happy with the end result. I use water based British paint stains, Teak for the decking, Jarrah for the pumps and suppports and dark walnut for my buckets and barrels.Have nearly completed episode 21. Will post some more photos next week. Tigershark attached the following image(s): Cheers Tony

Finished my mast and some gunner's tools. The mast came up a little bit shorter than it is supposed to be. I used 2mm whiteboard strip lining tape from an office supply shop for the banding, cost me $4.00 and came up a treat. I have also finished lining the bulwarks and the entry entry ports. Some over vigorous sanding had me knock the cannons and they came a bit loose. Think I managed to secure them again but it is very hard to get into the tight spaces now so be careful if you are doing this model yourself. Getting on with some painting and will then tidy off this deck and start the next one. Nearly finished episode 23 or (143) and started on the bunk supports in 24. Your build is coming along great. You are right about those inter deck spaces being tight. I inadvertently knock one of my pump handles off and it was extremely fiddly to get it back in position. Keep up the good work.
