I don't build many aircraft, displaying them being one of the draw backs, but i couldn't resist this being an Iron Maiden fan. This is the Boeing 747-400 the band are using this very moment for their 'The Book of Souls' world tour. Piloted by the lead singer, Bruce Dickenson whom I have had the pleasure of meeting, and is the nicest guy you could ever want to meet, and extremely well educated and very clever. I saw that the other day Daran in one of the modelling mags and thought it looked like a fun project being a fan of civil aviation myself? I saw Iron Maiden live in concert many years ago when I lived in Southampton and they had a large puppet like figure of Ed that dropped down from an overhead gantry, with lights in his eyes? Very impressive stuff, great concert and I'm sure the model will look equally impressive when built which shouldn't take long as there aren't that many parts to one of these and you could always hang it from the ceiling above your workstation if you're worried about display room!?
Good stuff mate, looking forward to seeing the finished build.

HaHa!! Sounds about right for one of these 1:144 airliners - it'll be a fun build though and you could play an Iron Maiden CD whilst building it!!
Halfords gloss 'Appliance White' is the usual accepted colour in the world of civil aviation modelling when building these things and dries hard as nails, though probably better to decant it through your airbrush instead of spraying from the can if you want a slightly better finish?
Love the graphics on that kit, especially Ed on the tailfin!!
