Nice work on the doors Mark, glad you took the time to fill and sand those ejector pin marks, always a job worth doing and your scratchbuilt bars look very good, a nice bit of extra detail to enhance the finished model - very well done!!

How did you get on with varying the grey tones in the cockpit painting that you did? Turn out any better?

Keep up the good work mate, watching with interest as always.

Kev

Hi Kev.
As you said the doors will look great when sprayed with the top coat.
At the moment I am still in the process of doing the cockpit and I am using the Revel aqua range but I cant get on with them as they are so thick and the pigments are so very coarse. I will look into the Tamiya or mig range.
Best regards.

Hello Mark,

I don't like the Revell Aqua paints either, the thickness can be dealt with by thinning, but they do use very coarse pigments!! The Tamiya paints are excellent as are Vallejo paints though Vallejo tend to need at least a day to harden otherwise they can sometimes rub off, though once hardened properly they are very tough!?

The only Revell aqua I use is the rust, brilliant for base coat on exhausts, apart from that they don't get shelf space! For airbrush I use Tamiya, Mig and Vallejo, and for detail brush work I use the aforementioned.

Hi Kev and Nem.
I think you both are wright. I wont be using them again and they are going straight in the bin where they belong.
I think I will go with the Tamiya and look at the Mig and Vallejo range.
Thank you both for your help and advise which is greatly appreciated.
Best regards to both of you.
