This looks fantastic Andy, lots of detail to look at and I love how you've gone with the partly loaded torpedo!

Hi All

Made up some lockers in the usual way by making moulds and casting the blocks, I then added the mounting girders and plasticard lids. The central lift off panel has had the two hatches added along with the deck slats and the two half moon sections at the edges. The three exhaust stacks are now fixed in place. All the lockers and fittings on the central section including the guns are just dry fitted for now.

One side of the hull has had the holes marked out ready for the rails and the torpedo rails have also been fixed in place. still need to mark out the other side and add some more detail. More soon.

Andy

Hi All

The fittings kit came with a carly type float and a rubber dingy, I decided not to use the dingy so needed more carley floats so another mould was made and a couple more cast. The ariel masts have now been added to the Skullcap. after that the two railings were added to the main hatch cover which was then sprayed up with Schnellbootwiese. After the paint was dry the walkways were painted grey to match the other decks.

Next the various lockers/binicle and guns were sprayed up and attached to the main hatch. The guns still need some more coats of paint but I have run out and have ordered more. The two stern hatches have been made up now the flat one at the rear is simply the cut out piece from the deck with a plasticard surround added along with some plasticard rivets made on my rivet maker. The second rear hatch has more going on and has been built up like the main hatch cover still more to add here and on the stern in general.

The last pics are of the 37mm gun with its mount being sprayed up. I will add that all the spraying has been done with the Badger 200 airbrush and all done without any problems, On sale in the online shop here:-

More soon
