Hi Daran I will be watching this with interest. I remember building the road roller kit many years ago and still have this kit stashed in the loft.

So I have spent some time filling and sanding out the seams on the smoke stack and the boiler sections, next step is to get some primer on to make sure they have gone and sand off any that still show. Slow process but it will pay off further down the line.Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Daren,
What do plan to use for the boiler bands? Metal, painted plastic? And, the wheels and tires are an interesting challenge.
really a great start and so interesting.

So more filling and sanding has been done and while I was at it I assembled the main body of the figure so I can get those seams done too. Starting to look like a traction engine now. Its all dry fit as there are still some mods to be done, the smoke stack top will need some work as its a bit to 'fair ground attraction' as the brim is too wide and its too tall.Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Interested to know what that figure might be? Because it looks familiar but for the life of me i cannot put a name to it. The figure part of the build is very good as it puts the whole model into easy to understand size and adds life to a build. Happy Modelling

Nice update Daran and really taking shape. I reckon that figure is maybe from a Russian WWII Tank crew - did it come with your T-34/85? It suits the Road Locomotive perfectly with the semi-relaxed pose, one hand on hip, wherever it came from! Can't wait to see this one all finished.
Well done mate, keep it up!!
