Whilst recently on holiday I took a harbour cruise from Plymouth which passed the docks so I took a few pics.

Passenger liner on stop over
Princess yacht builders have moved in to some of the old naval dock area.
HMS Ocean nearing the end of her refit.
The large naval buildings hold ships undergoing refits.
The Police patrol the area.
Several Subs are in the yard and some are being decommissioned.
Tugs for assisting the ships in the dock areas.
This ship is carrying live munitions so is kept away from the harbour area.

Thanks for looking.

Some lovely photos there Spal, hope you enjoyed your holiday down 'yer! Couple of points of interest in case you didn't know, the middle Frigate refit building hasn't just got its door open - the door was completely blown in during a storm during last winter!
The shot of the vessel with live ammunition on board - the nice bit of countryside in the background is hiding the largest underground arms depot in the country! It dates back before the war and was used extensively during the horrendous Plymouth Blitz. It has (and still does) hold everything from small arms ammo through 4.5" shells to depth charges and the ones known locally as "Beasts" (light the blue touch paper and watch the big mushroom!) The tunnels and chambers go back about half a mile under the hills!

Thanks Robin, I did enjoy my hols and the weather was great. I knew about the door as the captain on the cruise gave us a good commentary but certainly didn't know about the arms depot, you learn something new everyday.
