Right rear wheel

2.3x3mm Screw
Shelby Logo Wheel Cover
Soften the tyre by applying gentle heat from a hair dryer or by immersing it in hot water as you did with the other tyres, then fit it onto the wheel. Make sure the tyre is seated properly and fits evenly all the way around before leaving to one side to allow the tyre to cool and harden.
Retrieve the brake supplied with the previous stage and align the notch in it with the raised ridge on the inside of the wheel and then push the brake into place on the wheel.
Hold the wheel with the brake facing the chassis and align the hole in the centre of it with the end of the right rear axle. Push the wheel onto the axle as far as it will go then secure it in place with a 2.3x3mm screw. Make sure you don’t over tighten the screw and that the wheel will freely rotate. Now place Shelby logo wheel cover into the hole in the wheel to hide the screw.
Turn the chassis over and press lightly on it to test the suspension.

Issue 32
Right rear wheel arch

Right Rear Wheel Arch
2.3x4mm Screws
Locate the three posts around the left rear wheel on the top side of the chassis. Holding the right rear arch over the right rear wheel, align the holes in the wheel arch with the posts on the chassis.
Lower the wheel arch onto the chassis, fitting the holes onto the posts. Then tighten a 2.3x4mm screw into the middle hole of the wheel arch. Don’t fully tighten any of the screws until they are all in place.
Tighten another 2.3x4mm screw into the hole at the rear of the wheel arch followed by a third 2.3x4mm screw into the hole at the front of the wheel arch. Now you can fully tighten all three of the screws securing the wheel arch in place.
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.

Issue 33
Middle Chassis

Screws 2.3x4mm
As well as the middle chassis supplied with this issue, you will need the rear chassis assembly from previous issues.
Start by aligning the four holes on the middle chassis with the four posts on the rear chassis. Lower the middle onto the rear chassis and press the two parts together.
Tighten a 2.3x4mm screw, into one of the holes, then tighten another 2.3x4mm screw into the hole on the other side of the chassis. Tighten a further two screws into the remaining two holes securing both the rear and middle chassis parts together.
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.

Issue 34
Front Floorpan

As well as the parts supplied with this issue, you will need the chassis assembly from previous issues.
Align the holes of the front floorpan with the holes on the chassis assembly and press the parts together checking the front of the part sits snugly to the front part of the chassis assembly.
At the rear of the floorpan tighten a 2.3x3mm screw into the hole on the top of the curved part.
Working towards the front of the chassis assembly tighten two 2.3x4mm in the next two holes, these will the ones at the bottom of the curved part.
On the square part of the floorpan tighten a 2.3x3mm screws into one of the corner holes, then tighten another 2.3x3mm in the corner diagonally opposite. Then tighten a further two 2.3x3mm screws in the remaining two holes.
Finally, tighten two more 2.3x4mm screws into holes of the upward sloping part at the front part of the floorpan.
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.

Issue 35
The Driveshaft

Upper Driveshaft Half
Lower Driveshaft Half
Screws 1.2x3mm
Screws 2.3x4mm
Line up the two driveshaft halves and press the flat inner surfaces together checking that they fit correctly.
Tighten a 1.2x3mm screw into the hole at one end of the combined driveshaft halves. Tighten a second 1.2x3mm screw into the hole in the centre of the driveshaft. Now tighten a third 1.2x3mm screw into the remaining hole at the other end of the driveshaft.
Turn the chassis assembly upside down. Align the posts on the top side of the driveshaft with the two holes in the chassis, and the end of the driveshaft with the hole in the differential cover. Then insert the end of the driveshaft into the hole in the differential cover while inserting the posts into the holes in the chassis.
Holding the driveshaft in place turn the chassis over and secure the driveshaft in place with two 2.3 x 4mm screws.
Note that the rear axle will still move up and down, independently of the driveshaft.
Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag.
