Hello Dave.
Many thanks for the comments and interest. The colour is the Ecurie Ecosse team Jaguar Flag blue which matches Ford fusion blue almost exactly. In all, around 6 coats of primer, all wet sanded, followed by another 5-6 gloss coats, the last being a 'wet' coat. It hasn't been polished or anything.
Roy.

A bit of 'two steps forwards and one back' today. I started making up the basics of the rear boot floor and fuel tank yesterday. All simple, flat plastic sheet stuff. Loads of card templates first though. Trial fit - ? Fine. Then I started to look at it more and more... A check - somehow I had some measurements WAY out. It bugged me even though it will virtually be unseen at the end so - I ripped it apart and started again. A day wasted. The replacement fits a treat and is now at least the right shape. Ho hum. On we go. Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Work is pretty sporadic at present as the weather has just been too nice... However - rear under body now fitted but detailing is still needed. Also - couldn't resist adding a few decals at the back. It makes it look like more of a car. Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Second try - previous post wouldn't show the pics at all... I have original Jaguar workshop drawings I was given by an ex-employee on strict terms I don't copy them or give them away. Mind you, almost identical drawings are easy to find on a Google search. I'm currently also working on a Lister 'Knobbly' Jaguar using drawings and plans from Lister. They even gave me free rein in their factory last Monday, with a camera, note book and tape measure. I took around 100 pics - loads of detail close-ups.
