I am trying to test the connection between my mac and the inbox printer using repeater-host mac 1.0.1 using usbmodem**** but the mac is not communicating with the printer.
I have tried turning of the printer, rebooting the mac several times, used a different usb port but it still does not work.
I have installed the repeater host mac 1.0.2 software onto a macbook air and set up the inbox printer as per chapter 10, but on opening up the printer settings usbmodem is not an available option the only two options are virtual printer or bluetooth-incoming port. I have tried selecting each one of these options but again the inbox will not communicate with the macbook air.
Any suggestions

I run the printer on windows and know little of Mac PC's. I do know that it sometimes shows up as a mass storage device instead of a printer. You could try deleating the program on the Mac and trying a new download, also if there is a choice of downloads for the program due to updates try each one in turn. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Have your perfomed the 'green light' test noted in the Pack 10 instructions at steps 10 - 12? If so and you do not get a green light, it would appear that you have a power supply problem which needs to be checked by double checking the power supply connections.
If you do get a green light, but the idbox will not connect to your computer, have you tried swopping the USB cable to check if it is the cable at fault?
Also, on some computers, idbox many not show as idbox, instead it may show as mass storage device.

Also have you downloaded the Arduino driver for the windows 10 set up as the Mac already has the drivers installed but not windows. Have you tried connecting through a USB 2 port rather than a USB 3 port. USB2 ports have either a black or white plastic insert whilst USB3 has a blue plastic insert. Which Mac book air have you got? Is it one with full size ports or are you using an adapter? I use a Mac book pro and the printer has to be in a specific port. It will not work in any other. Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/

I have tried the green light test in pack 10 and the green light on the circuit board and it stays grey, the fan is continuously on so there is no issue with the power supply.
I have purchased a new usb cable and it still does not work.
Any ideas

Hi You will need to check that the two circuit boards are seated correctly and that all the other components added are also fitted correctly. If you still have no green light then one of the circuit boards may be cracked so double check for that.
