Interesting stuff and some great photos, just a shame that the author has identified the 'fighter bombers' as Republic P-47 Thunderbolts when they are quite evidently Douglas SBD Dauntless aircraft?! Blink Huh

I've always loved the way that nature reclaims the weapons of war over time, kind of fitting really?

One of those cockpit pictures appears to be missing all of its instruments from the control panel.

Eyes are dodgy these days so may be in error but if right either taken before the planes were dumped or possible modern day scavengers.
