Hi Allen,

Making R/C what is intended as a static model is a lot to take on as a first R/C model, is it your first plank-on-frame ship model?

Jinks8 is well on with converting his Yamato to R/C and will be able to point you in the right direction for what items are best suited and what he's done.

Hi Alyvonne if you look on my build you will see what I have dune the motors are from a place called robot bits http://www.robotbits.co.uk Prop shafts from deans marine 2mm shafts can not give length of hand but get you that later http://www.deansmarine.co.uk/ The props are from prop shop 25mm 2 left ,2right hand http://www.prop-shop.co.uk/ the battery will be 14v 4 cell lipo one circuit board from Hunter Systems http://shop.huntersystems.co.uk/ Ruder servo you chose from local model shop . the battery you could use a standard 7.2v NiMH pack if I have left out something just ask and I will try my best to answer it ps the motors are 50:1 High Power Micro Motor + Gearbox £12.99 each.

Hi Allen
I dont want to appear to be sticking my nose inbut you may want to try Action electronics. I got in touch with Dave who is the gaffa and he sorted everything out from motors to batteries wiring diagrams all he wanted to know was what size space you had to fit everything into If you look at my post of Titanic in other builds Dave did all the electronics for that and his prices are very reasonable anything he doen't do he will tell you who to contact hope this is helpful

Hi yorkiboy that is what the site is for to gather and pass on info if people did not but in or as we say stick their ore in we would not gather new skills as for my build the 4 small motors did not push the ship as expected so had to change and put 2 larger ones in. Action electronics are good have 1 or 2 of there bits in difrent ships
