Hi Mr T
just a quicky for you being the main man I am painting my modeland have almost completed the gun port linings .In the n=mag and on your build you state that the linings will be sanded flush with the hull at a later date is there any reason why this can't be done now and the linings have a coat of red ochre much obliged and await your reply

The port linings are sanded flush with the hull at 39 as part of the entire hull sanding process which follow's completion of hull planking/real keel installation, and is where the inside of the five gun ports which span the upper deck central waist area will also made flush with planking.

In answer to your question, there's no reason why you cannot sand the linings flush, its just that the magazine instruction instruct's this as part of the entire hull sanding process at 39.
