And so it begins I am finally starting this build. Will post pictures as I progress. My intention is to follow the build as per the instructions. Still have spare parts left over from my Victory build and these may prove useful as will my experience in building the Victory. One thing I have left over are some black cannon balls and I will be using these when I get to that stage. I think they are more realistic than the ones provided GilShapley attached the following image(s): Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

A nice extra would be to add copper tiles to the hull, as it happens CMB have some the exact same scale that were designed for the Caldercraft 1/72 Victory

Issue 121 Assembling the rib frames.I made several copies of the plan to enable me to construct four of the frames at the same time. I will leave the glue to dry overnight. ( I use EVO-Stick wood glue which gives a good strong joint) I had a large notice board which was not being used so this is now my flat base for setting out the frames. It is soft enough for the pins but firm enough to hold the ribs in place. Hope to complete the rest of the frames, issue 122 tomorrow. Looking good, is this the full kit or did it continue at the end of your Victory subscription?

After completing the Victory I decided for a change of tack (Sorry for the awful pun) I built the Hummer next and various smaller models but always intended to complete the Cross Section. Waited for the full kit to become available and went for it. The main advantage of going for full Kits as I am sure you all know is no frustrating wait for the next delivery Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

Have completed the ribs 6,7 and 8 and assembled the first part of the framework Waiting for the glue to dry before I move onto the next part of the framework, dont want to upset the alignment of the ribs So far so good GilShapley attached the following image(s): Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle
