Thank you all for your comments and stopping by. Kev, I don't think you're teaching me to suck eggs at all! In fact I'm grateful you mentioned it. I'll admit I did actually find this myself when initially looking into building an aircraft but upon reaching this point I completely forgot that I would need to do the decals first, which in turn would have created me more work. So, I thank you for pointing that out it's so easy to forget things when building a new subject matter. I would also like to say that this is the exact way criticism or advice should be passed on, and not the first time that you've posted something that has kept me on course, so thank you

Well thank you for your kind comments Dave, it's always nice to be appreciated. I'm always willing to help a fellow modeller if I can, and I'm pleased that you've valued my comments in the past.
Thanks again, very much appreciated.

Thought I would add some progress photos. Work continues with the decals of which there is a lot You can just make out the tiny no step or no push ones in the pictures. The decals are really making a massive difference to this Just some quick mobile phone pictures davetwin attached the following image(s):

Really loving this one Dave, the pre shading you did has certainly paid off too, it's very subtle under that paint but you can see its there

Making nice progress with this Dave and looking very cool!!
Love the squadron markings on this, very colourful and certainly breaks up the overall grey camouflage scheme? It looks like your decals are settling down very nicely Dave and good luck with applying all of those little stencils, I know the Phantom was absolutely covered in them, so I'm sure you'll be either cross-eyed or a gibbering wreck by the time you've got them all on - but it'll be worth it!!
Well done mate, looking good.

Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't realise how many of those tiny decals there were I should have started tallying them up so I could give a final count I'm having to do a few in at a time in different settings as they are quite taxing

Thanks guys I did finish most of the decals off on the main body of the plane today before I started my night shift tonight. I've got the decals left now on the missles, gun pod, weapon hard points and cockpit canopy.

I've been plodding along slowly while I been on nights but have now got the majority of decals done. There are still a couple to go on the canopies which have just been masked and sprayed. Again just mobile phone pictures, once the micro sol has done it's stuff I will give it a final gloss coat and start the panel wash. Not far to go now I will try and get a close up of some of the tiny ones with my camera, you can actually read them although I need my optivisor to actually see what they say davetwin attached the following image(s):

Thanks for the comments all.
I found that the more of the tiny decals that I applied the I actually found myself enjoying it.
I've also just found the Eduard placards set I had so I will have a look to see, what I can apply now that everything is already built.
