"Club Concorde", made up of former captains, charterers and aviation fans, says it has £120m in reserve for the "return to flight" plan.

I would love to see Concorde fly again. My dad worked on the experimental one designing parts for the engine air intakes and exhausts.BigGrin

The last time I saw it was in 1992 and was the Air France Concorde on display at the now defunct RAF Finningley Air Show (now home to the Vulcan).

That's what many said about a Vulcan being returned to airworthyness which was a success, and now on with a Canberra.
Also the "Just Jane" Lancaster is heading towards being airworthy, which many said would never happen.

For now we can live in hope of a world icon returning to flight Woot

I expect Richard Branson would have still been using it.

In Bristol there is an access point for accessing the railway on BAE Systems land which just happened to have a Concorde parked up near the access which meant I used to see the old girl quite often.

It's now being turned into a Museum due to open next year Cool
