I actually have two favourites, 'The Longest Day', an epic film depicting the D Day landings. The other is an old black and white, 'The Cruel Sea', another classic about protecting the Atlantic convoys. The book is a fascinating read too... ,, Regards Alan

So many films although they don't appear as often as they did on tv these days. Sea of sand i like and that was on tv yesterday. Its based on the lrdg in ww2. The battle of the river plate is also a well made film. Happy Modelling
