I am doing the cornices - a very fiddly and repetitive task I must say. I find that I am making some compromises in step 9. In magazine photo it shows the beak with vertically arranged gold strips. Where the upper planking of the beak meets with the hull I do not have a vertical join - same with the left hand edge of this plank. In my photo you see that I have compromised a bit with this when positioning the gold painted strip. I will have to do the same with the left edge of the upper planking of the beak - it is nowhere near vertical. I suppose I could cut a bit off to make it more vertical. My question is: how important is it to make these cornices appear vertical? How do I attach this picture  !!!  File Attachment(s): SimonC attached the following image(s):

Hi Simon, from what I can see I would say the problem is purely aesthetic, the gold upright strips should be vertical so I'd be trimming. As for your picture problem, for me I find the easiest method of uploading pics is to follow the information contained in the attached link..... http://forum.model-space....aspx?g=posts&t=244
