BigGrin Hi All
After a wait for some instructions to be translated I can now continue with the build on the engine and this comprises the assembly of the cooling gills.
Remove all the parts from the sprue's but leave the parts that are attached to the triangular sprue's [ see pic's] as these are not needed as they are already moulded into the engine casing.
Use a file to remove the burs from the sprue but be carefull here as the outer parts are soft aluminium and the hinge parts are made of steel.
Now degrease the parts .
Then place the outers in the positions shown in the instructions so you have left and right outers with the corresponding hinge parts and glue together with super glue or epoxy.
Once dry the parts are ready for painting with undercoat or clear laquer
More soon

BigGrin Hi All
After the assembly of the cooling flaps they were undercoated and then the insides given a coat of matt weathered black and the outside surfaces given a coat of semi gloss black.
After being left overnight to dry off properly the eight cooling flaps were fitted four to each side, a word of warning here they are a tight fit on the moulded lugs and some manipulation is needed to get them to fit.
After the cooling flaps are fitted then the muffler shrouds are fitted making sure there is clearance so the flaps can open and close without fouling them.
The fitting of the above brings this diary to a close and that it has given some idea's on how to get your Sakae Engine built
regards
