ive searched to find out what is wrong with rib 15 mine is wider was told to search furum cant find a direct answer to what ive got to do with it how can i fix it if i dont no what it supossed to look like in the first place please help

The main thing is that the planking should flow smoothly across the frames and a simple check with a plank laid across will highlight any high/low spots.

ive just looked at my ship rib 15 to short rib 16 bit short aswell do build it up to the false keel the same shape as it is now if you get what i mean seriuosly thinking using this for nov 5th driving me nuts all i want to do is get planking but as u can see above im newbie not happy paying 720 quid for a kit i have to mod my self not happy chap

I've not seen any problems with frame 16, can you post a photo of your build as its out of the ordinary to consider building up the false keel.

hi..i had that on the same rib as you plus another 3..i just packed them out upto the keel and sanded to the shape of the rib ..paul cheers benny

what did u use to pack um so basiclly i pack um up with some strips of wood leave over night to dry and then do the fairing. rib 15 i now i got to shape but i brought a mouse sander for xams orsom kit
if u havnt got to far in your build could you show me a pic please

if u havnt got to far in your build could you show me a pic please hi sorry mate no pics..but if the rib is low run a spare plank up the edge of the rib glue it and when dry sand it to the shape and height u need it to be..but run a plank over your ribs and mark where it needs packing or fairing..i used different thickness planks depending on the gap u need to fill...good luck paul cheers benny
