Nice planking. Good job on the gratings. Looks like the quality of the gratings is high. Some can be really bad. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Sunday 20th November 2016 Well its been a while since I have added any updates to this build but the ship has been sat in its plastic bag (to keep the dust off) looking "unloved" for too long so I have managed to put some time aside this weekend to add just 3 more planks to one side and have just pinned in a forth plank on its starboard side. SATURDAY 17th DECEMBER 2016 Well if there are any prizes for the "World's slowest builder" I am sure to win I am getting there very slowly with around 8 more planks each side to complete the final layer of hull planking. It will then be onto the sanding phase. My methods are probable not the best but what I do is soak the planks for around an hour. Then pin them in place on the hull until dry. This ensures that if there is any shrinkage as the plank dries I am not left with big gaps once the plank is glued in place. Its then a case of gluing in the plank and allowing that to dry prior to repeating the whole process. Anyhow not a great deal of change to the last images posted but just as a small update this is how things are looking now. birdaj2 attached the following image(s): Happy Modelling
