I don't know...I'm conflicted on the inappropriateness of this endeavor. I mean, I can see why it
could be viewed as inappropriate, but is it really any different than a museum/memorial dedicated to a famous battle-site? There are plenty of those that charge visitors fees. Or what about the folks who recreate famous US Civil War battles?
Is it time? I could see that as a reason, however, in this case, the last living survivor died 7 years ago, and she was just a baby, and thus would have no memories of the event.
I'm definitely not saying it shouldn't be considered inappropriate, but I am saying I can see both sides of the argument.
